Fire Boat - 273
Our 2003 fire boat is docked in Whitefish Lake during the summer months and kept indoors during the winter. This boat was fully refurbished in 2024, thanks in part to a $25,000 grant from the Burlington-Northern Santa Fe Railway Foundation.
Utility Terrain Vehicle - Polaris 6X - 277
Our 2015 Polaris 6X UTV is a small rescue vehicle used for patient transport from bike trails and during outdoor events. Also affixed with a small water tank and pump, the Polaris helps with initial wildland fire attacks in steep, rugged terrain.
Inflatable Rescue Craft
The inflatable rescue boat was purchased by the Whitefish Firefighters Association with donations made during the Great Fish Community Challenge, which is a program of the Whitefish Community Foundation.
Hovercraft - 271
A 2006 Hovercraft was donated to the City of Whitefish Fire Department for water and ice rescues on a partially frozen lake. This apparatus is stationed year-round at Whitefish Lake.
