We are excited to introduce more options to pay that provides better security and more convenience for ALL types of payments to the City of Whitefish. Effective July 1, 2024, service fees of 3% for credit/debit card payments or $2.00 for electronic checks imposed by credit/debit card companies will be passed along to city customers.
Coming soon there will be online capability to pay for all transactions including but not limited to building permits, public works permits, business registration fees, and resort tax payments with a credit/debit card and e-checks.
For our utility billing customers, at this time our online bill pay portal will remain the same, however the same service fees listed above will apply. You will have an option to opt-out of the autopay payment process to avoid service fees. Automatic bank withdrawal (ACH) done through the city’s utility billing department on monthly utility bills is still an option at no cost to utility customers, along with payments made by cash, money order, cashier/certified check. The Utility Billing Department is looking at other options to pay, such as e-checks, and IVR payments (Interactive voice response payments), so please STAY TUNED for these announcements in the coming months.
