With the recent weather, fire conditions in the area have recovered, thus by ORDER of the Fire Chief, the City of Whitefish shall join Flathead National Forest, Kootenai National Forest, Flathead County, Lincoln County, and the DNRC’s NW Land Office – Kalispell and release all Fire Restrictions effective Wednesday August 25, 2021, at 12:01 a.m.
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 17-25 the Fire Chief’s ORDER will remain in effect until the next regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council where the Council shall consider lifting such restrictions by emergency ordinance.
